When it comes to collector's editions, it is traditional European gamers always get lost in comparison with American and Japanese players. Usually the collector's edition released in Europe, are always a little behind in quality and extras, but this time do not seem to :) Sega Europe score points by announcing this great collector's edition of Sonic Generations !

Let's see what this edition includes celebrating Sonic's life in all its stages:

  • A replica of a ring of gold equal to that Sonic collects during games
  • An artbook "20 Years of Sonic"
  • Soundtrack of the 20th anniversary of Sonic
Also included is a documentary entitled "History of Sonic: Birth of an Icon," a collection of images and exclusive interviews on the creative process of the character who became one of the biggest icons of video games.

The Return of Sonic CD

By the end of the year we can count on the return of the first Sonic Sega released the Mega CD: Sonic CD!

Sonic CD will be released for the X360, PS3, PC, iOS, Android and Windows Phone and this time with the original Japanese soundtrack (though the American version could include : P ).

According to information from Sega, we are a version with enhanced graphics and widescreen format and with achivements, trophies and other features of the current platforms.

Hopefully by the middle there is an option to play the game as the original version. To criticize, just the fact of not having been announced a version for the Wii or 3DS.

Pac-Man Championship Edition DX

If there was a game that marked the childhood of many gamers was Pac-Man, Namco's classic, which now becomes the hero eater retrogaming synonymous with ghosts.

Pac-Man had several versions over the years, who does not remember Super Pac-Man, Ms. Pac-Man and Pac-Mania? Namco continues to feed the world of games of your pet and this year was no exception. In early 2011, we saw one more title to the world of Pac-Man, this time an upgrade to Pac-Man Championship Edition which is now prefixed with the following DX Deluxe Collection Namco Generations .

In Pac-Man Championship Edition DX, Namco has brought the classic gameplay of the original Pac-Man to the present day. Pac-Man continues to eat dots and ghosts, but this time with some news. The levels are no longer static, becoming as the number of dots and ghosts that our hero is eating increases, and the speed of the game that it's awesome.

But do not think the game is so simple. When a title released for the Xbox 360 and PS3, we are constantly competing with high-scores of all players in the world. If you want to get a good score, you will need to be learning the various patterns of play in order to achieve the perfect game! As if all this were not enough, you better have your reflexes maximum because when you have 50 of your ghosts behind Pac-Man, you should not make a wrong turn on the site of the labyrinth.

Pac-Man, turn that brought new tricks up its sleeve, having pumps that can be used in limited numbers to send ghosts to the center of the maze temporarily, long enough to escape from a situation of near death. Another of the tricks of Pac-Man is able to escape in some situations using a kind of à la Matrix bullet time when ghosts are too close to him! Undoubtedly two additions to the very innovative and fun gameplay.

The game features three main modes: Score Attack in which you try to get the highest score at levels of 5 and 10 minutes, Time Attack, which consists of several levels where the player has to meet the objectives set at the beginning of each level and finally Ghost Combo consisting of levels where the player has to eat as many ghosts. For each level completed is assigned a ranking in the world according to the leaderboard as already indicated above. In total there are nine "worlds", each of which can be played with various graphic styles ranging from the version of Pac-Man to the Atari-style Pac-Mania. No doubt a very special gesture to celebrate Namco's with this game, the 30th anniversary of Pac-Man.

Finally, Pac-Man Championship Edition DX is an excellent game for any player, but above all to retrogamers and fans of Pac-Man had some longing for something new!

No doubt that is recommended by 8BR! Pac-Man Championship Edition DX can be purchased on Xbox Live and Playstation Network.

In Japan MGS2 and MGS3 will be sold separately from MGSPW, but in the West the collection is comprised of three titles, but most is the fact that Metal Gear Solid is not a part of this collection.

The versions of MGS2 and 3 and will Substance Subsistance respectively, and all the extras that make these versions. The three titles were reissued to 720p, 60 fps, with improved audio, support for dual analog sticks and transfer saves the original games for these new versions.

MGS Peace Walker will support the passage of the PSP to PS3 savegames and vice versa, but MGS2 and 3 only endure the passage of the PS2 savegames to PSVita or NGP, according to Hideo Kojima, indicating that possibly we will see this collection in the new platform Sony.
