Often I find myself thinking of the sort I have in being born at the end of generation 70. The feeling of looking back and remembering all the evolution of an industry and the technologies that are part of it is certainly something priceless (if you like of course).
I think today, the impact that technology has, particularly in the gaming industry is not as big as the boom in 80 years. Today a video game is a work of art, much resembles a film, with visuals and sound fabulous able to overcome many films in circulation. However, increasingly lose the "fun factor". We have reached a point that required the player interactivity is sometimes so intense that the gameplay down to very low levels. No fun, just bling ...
In 80 years, the video game industry had little or nothing to do with what it is today, there were more "soul" in each game made, could play a game a different feel than the games give today, perhaps not as complex left room for another player to create awareness around the imaginary world that he was being offered to explore.
However, there are exceptions to what is now the rule. We want to talk about video games that are actually correspond to what they were made, fun, stimulating the mind of the player positively, whether recent or 20 years old.
This is the purpose of 8BR, show what they really are real videogames.
The Team
Currently the 8-Bit Revolution is the "one man show." It was created by me, but is open to anyone who wants to cooperate actively, simply show your interest by sending an email to 8br@odrakir.com.
As for me , when it comes to video games, I can say I had my first contact with a Spectrum when I was 6 years and although it is not mine, Spectrum's success ensured that most of my friends had one that kept me always in contact with the games. After the Spectrum went to a PC, Amiga and various consoles. Born May 78, has had to have justice, but a passion for video games remains strong, with a tendency toward nostalgia. Retrogaming big fan of, as can be seen ![]()
I hope you identify with the 8-Bit Revolution.
