Ys I & II Chronicles on the way to PSP

Available in Japan since 2009, this remake of the first two titles in the Ys saga is now about to reach the North American market in the PSP.

For those unfamiliar, the saga of Ys is one of the most famous RPGs in Japan had its debut in the 80s in the NEC PC-8801 , but was in the NEC PC-Engine (TurboGrafx or name, that console was marketed in U.S. and Europe) who became famous despite having been released on multiple platforms. The saga is composed of several titles and spinoffs, some of them also like the PSP Ys: The Oath in Felghana is a remake of the third series title (Ys III: Wanderers from Ys) and Ys Seven, the seventh title of the saga.

This remake of Ys I & II for PSP features improved graphics, a soundtrack re-arranged, and other options like the artwork of the characters during the game, scoring in the game and multiple levels of difficulty.

Hopefully this title come to Europe soon.

Sony presents PSP2 / NGP

Sony Japan today unveiled the successor to the PSP, PSP2, codenamed NGP - Next Generation Portable. The new notebook from Sony is designed to compete with the current mobile entertainment devices such as Nintendo 3DS and iOS Apple devices like the iPhone, and has as its focus five basic aspects: Revolutionary Interface, Social Connectivity, Entertainment based on the location, Real and Virtual Converge and Playstation Suite Compatibility.

The characteristics of the NGP are fantastic for a handheld console - two analog sticks, a 5-inch OLED screen (960 × 544 resolution which is basically four times the resolution of the PSP), 3G connectivity, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, touch screen front and rear video cameras front and rear, a motion detection system and a 6-axis 3-axis compass.

The system of the current PSP UMD is abandoned in preference to a system of digitally distributed games for the Playstation Store and special memory cards like the Nintendo 3DS.

A real monster for a console that already has titles like Metal Gear Solid 4 (yes, the PS3) Little Big Planet, Wipeout, Killzone, Resistance, and other evidence of great strength on the Sony platforms.

The game has the same style of commands used in many of the NES shooters, we can control the Master Chief, jump, shoot and throw grenades with the Select button. It is an extremely fun title and mandatory for all Halo fans and retro shooters.

What are they waiting to do the download ??

Games Dreamcast Collection Confirmed

It is confirmed that the Sega Dreamcast Collection will have only four games. It is sad to see that Sega no longer includes a games console with a legacy as special as the Dreamcast.

The cover up is the original game, but four games is very little and is not the best choice.

Is this one of the most famous Sega's bad decisions or just a test market?

Sonic 2 HD - A Remake of another World!

Sonic 2 is considered by many one of the best titles in the series, gameplay from the design levels, from the first appearance of Tails. A group of programmers, not related to Sega, since 2008 is to develop an HD remake of this title, in collaboration with the community Sonic Retro , the largest community of Sonic fans on the web.

Sonic 2 HD is in almost all identical to the original, having been re-created all the graphics in high resolution and a "skyscraper" of music. Today the team of Sonic 2 HD got a tip of the veil and promise an alpha version for PC until April this year. I leave you with the teaser trailer and screen shots of this spectacular remake.
