Commodore 64 on iPhone

Commodore 64

The Manomio released this weekend the C64 , a Commodore 64 emulator for the iPhone. This application was initially rejected by Apple because it is an emulator and run "other type of executable code" (aka ROMS), now sees the light of day now because of the new 3.0 SDK that allows download / purchase of other features within the application, which is used to invalidate the initial reasons for Apple to reject the application.

This first version of the C64 allows you to play some games like Dragons Den, Le Mans, Jupiter Lander, Arctic Shipwreck and Jack Attack, but are promised more as well as a version of the Commodore Basic. In addition to playing the keyboard of a Commodore 64 also have a virtual joystick and the ability to play with the screen in landscape mode.

The C64 is already for sale but was strangely removed from the App Store Portuguese ...

Update: Apparently Apple removed the application from App Store because it prohibited the inclusion of Basic and this application is still in but disabled. More information in this blog post from Manomio.
