Developer Shows Sonic Sega CD for iPhone

Sonic CD

Sonic CD was one, if not the best Sonic the era of 16-Bit. The opinion is general and Christian Whitehead agreed. That's why I went to work and created a version of Sonic CD for the iPhone, root, Retro Engine running on an engine built for it. Christian actually intended that show the Sega classic games you may have to run without being emulated on the iPhone, taking advantage of the capabilities of the device over, getting framerates of 60 frames per second and an unwavering gameplay.

Christian has created a video showcasing it in the first level of Sonic CD running on an iPhone and says that Sega will officially propose , which in turn asks fans to your blog , which titles would like to see ported to the iPhone / iPod Touch.

By the way, games that Sega would like to have on your iPhone / iPod Touch?

Update: The videos and the page that this post link stopped working, it seems that something happened and something that involved the Sega since the Sega blog post I mentioned earlier was also removed.

Space Invaders Infinity Gene - The Evolution of a Classic

Space Invaders Inifinity Gene Taito released today for the iPhone / iPod Touch Space Invaders Infinity Gene, title to date only available for phones in the land of the rising sun. Unlike Space Invaders Extreme, Infinity Gene is not as graphically pleasing to the eye, is actually closer to the original Space Invaders with its 80's style vector graphics, the acid trip that we can experience with Extreme.

However, Infinity Gene takes the saga to other flights, literally, that is, for the first time in a title Space Invaders saga no longer limited to the X axis and the spacecraft can maneuver freely on the screen more in the style of a shooter. Once again, our hopes are waves and waves of enemies, some known but most quite different than found so far in the various titles in the series.

The name comes from Gene Inifinity fact that there is a "tree" that will evolve as we catch powerups and level. The various stages of evolution of the tree will change the way we played, giving the other styles of weapons, speed and other capabilities.

Another highlight of the game is the soundtrack, the purest style electro, 100% fits the gameplay, however we can choose our own music library on iPhone / iPod Touch to the soundtrack.

With 36 official levels, Inifinty Gene gives us a few hours of play, especially with the evolution of the levels which makes the game almost infinite. A treat for all fans of Space Invaders!

Street Fighter IV - The Return of Arcade

The Street Fighter series has greatly all those who attended and played in the arcade machines. In 90 years it was impossible to go to a game room and not see a queue to play Street Fighter II, some rooms even had more than one machine with the same Street Fighter, which often allow players to organize tournaments just for the enjoyment of play. It was certainly one of the great arcade and console games that marked the twentieth century.

Several of the ports to consoles and computers, there were several series and spin offs of Street Fighter over the years, which led in part to dilute the game in many other games of the same gender. Only recently with the release of Street Fighter IV for the arcades and consoles is that the series was to regain the luster it had in its golden era. Again they began to see lines to play the game in the arcades (but also came to bring new audiences to the now almost deserted halls) and suddenly Street Fighter IV is everything that is spoken in the magazine and Web site video games.

Who had never played was a fan, but the biggest beneficiaries were the veterans who had missed a "true" Street Fighter, and this is definitely the time of this new generation, keeping everything we had good Street Fighter IV. The formula for such success? Capcom has heard true fans, and went to get the best of all games in the series.

In Street Fighter IV almost all the characters come from Street Fighter II and Street Fighter Alpha, the two most successful series in the universe of Street Fighter as well as the gameplay continues in 2D but with spectacular 3D graphics.

As if all this were not enough, Capcom wanted to give fans the full experience. Play a SFIV arcade is exactly the same as playing SFIV in the arcade mode in versions for PS3 and XBOX 360 from the blows to the characters, everything is equal. But Capcom was not here and has partnered with Mad Catz , and built controls and arcade sticks for consoles, replaced the original commands some of the consoles that are optimized for fighting games.

Street Fighter IV Tournament Edition Arcade Fightstick

Among all these commands and sticks, Street Fighter IV Tournament Edition Arcade Fightstick is what resembles the pure arcade experience. The colors of the arcade stick are the same as the original machine and the components used, stick and buttons, Sanwa's flagship, the most respected Japanese company in machine components of the arcade. Of course, this stick is also the most expensive and can go up to € 150, € 40 but you can already buy a FightPad which considerably increases the gaming experience.

For the more casual players, SFIV is just a game, but for true fans, SFIV is a fan service, Capcom thanks for the loyalty over all these years without a new SF.

Anyway, Street Fighter IV is an instant classic and mandatory!

Games Playstation One still shine

PSN

One of the best "features" is that we can buy PSN PS1 titles that we can play on either PS3 or PSP. For those who never had a PS1 this is an excellent opportunity to play some of the best games made today.

The European Playstation Store has many titles to offer, but those who have an account at American PS Store can download excellent titles like Resident Evil, Metal Gear Solid, Castlevania and Castlevania SOTN, Final Fantasy VII (also on the European Store ), and R-Types R-Type Delta, among many others.

I recognize that many of these titles have suffered remakes, many with HD graphics, but there's nothing like playing the original versions to get the full experience. Another major advantage is that the PSP graphics pixelation is much reduced due to screen size, which causes some titles "shine" on the PSP more than the original Playstation!

8BR in Smash Magazine

Recorte Revista Smash N.º 4 After all the folks at Smash does not sleep on duty. Some time ago I wrote here a post on Smash's number two and I confess that I have bought all the numbers since then. In the July issue (No. 4), part of this article appears in the "Smash You", taken in conjunction with reviews of other blogs and forums of gamer national scene. It's really nice to see that the folks at Smash takes into account the views of readers and I say this not because they had reviewed the post in question, but because the magazine has really improved and gain more quality number to number. Some criticized aspects that still stands, but looking from a different perceptive, it is these aspects that make the magazine Smash it is.

WipeOut HD Fury available on PSN

Studio Liverpool got it again, the extent to WipeOut HD Fury have significantly improved what was already an excellent game. WipeOut HD Fury has a cost of € 9.99 (half the original price of WipeOut HD) and comes packed with new tracks, vehicles, campaigns and single player game modes that will surely please fans of the series.

But Fury goes much further than we expected, with new game modes Eliminator, Battle Zone and Detonator, WipeOut is no longer just a racing game. Eliminator mode gain points by eliminating your opponents and become the main aim to gain as many points as possible, doing laps on the track first, but destroying everything that gets in front of us using it for various maneuvers one of the most notable being the return of 180 in full race.

WipeOut detonator makes a shooter, a sort of deathmatch where our ship outfitted with a machine gun and with the Shockwave. Both weapons have to be recharged, which implies that we can not shoot at our pleasure while we avoid and eliminate the mines along the route. The basis of this mode is the mode of existing Zones, which means that the game speed and the number of mines is likely to increase as the number of laps we doing ... well, totally awesome!

WipeOut HD Fury

The latter mode, the Battle Zone, is perhaps the least entertaining of the three modes, but it is nonetheless interesting. As the name implies, this mode also has its origin in the way of the Zones, but this time we have to run against several ships to reach the target zone. As we go through certain platforms, fill the Zone Bar that allows us a boost of speed or power (as selected).

Fury is undoubtedly an expanding mandatory for all who love WipeOut and for those who have not experienced the breathtaking speed of the game. If you do not have the WipEout HD, buy the game and the expansion will not regret it, because all modes of Fury is backward compatible with the original HD modes and thus have much to play!
