One of the greatest proofs that the Retrogaming here to stay is that companies like Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft are betting on the distribution of old games / remakes on the Internet.
The largest supporter of Retrogaming is clearly by the Nintendo Wii's Virtual Console. Nintendo, one of the largest producers in the videogame industry, has an extensive catalog of titles 8, 16 and 64 bit that has been offered. In the Wii Virtual Console, not only have access to titles from Nintendo consoles (NES, SNES and N64) as well as we can choose games for Sega Megadrive and NEC's Turbografx (which I'll talk in the future). It's great to be able to buy games that were made for consoles that are no longer in production, or even consoles have never had a lot of output in our country, such as the Turbografx, but the best is yet to come.
Versions have been announced for the VC games that were never sold outside Japan (which is very common), as the case of (real) Super Mario Bros. 2 - The lost levels for the NES (which only appeared in the U.S. and Europe as the remake of Super Mario All Stars SNES) and Super Mario Picross for SNES. For many players outside of Japan, these games are nothing new, which is certainly a plus.
Another big news is that the VC will soon be available titles from SNK NEO-GEO. The more hardcore players they remember certain series as The King of Fighters and Metal Slug, bonds required for anyone who has played or player who is said ![]()
First of all my thanks to all who mentioned the 8-Bit Revolution in their blogs, it's always good to get publicity, even when it is free for more ![]()

Again, thank you to all who visited the BR-8 in their first hours of "life" ![]()

Rick Dickinson was the industrial designer who designed the ZX 80 and ZX 81 in Sinclair Research, Sir Clive Sinclair's company (creator of the Spectrum). I do not want me further about the history of the Spectrum, this will be the subject of a future post, I just leave the link here for a Flickr Photo Set of the development of the ZX Spectrum .
The best part, besides the photos is that this is precisely Set in Flickr account Rick Dickinson. Do not miss! ![]()

This year, precisely on April 23, the ZX Spectrum completed 25 years. As such, some items are in the pipeline related to the Spectrum, its history and some games.
Expect some surprises and prepare to relive or learn about some of the classics that made history in 80 years. I leave you with something that for many was the sound of expectation (and sometimes frustration)!

It is not difficult to start something. Generally, the harder it is to keep something alive and functioning. For some time I thought about creating a blog about videogames. Many questions arose. "More than one among so many?", "What to bring back to an area so saturated?" Anyway, I could say that such dilemmas arise every day in any new project that has the Web as a platform, but in the end the most important thing is not fading.
What 8-Bit Revolution is going to offer insight and opinions from someone who has followed the world of video games almost from the beginning. As its name indicates, the retrogaming will be very present in this blog. Why? I believe that the best phase in the history of video games was undoubtedly the phase of the 8:16 bit, but this is a matter for other posts.
From 8-Bit Revolution can expect news, criticism of video games, a little history of this great world and some tips on how to find and play some of the best games ever created. The target audience is the player, the player not only "hardcore" as well as all those casual gamers or even those who played as young and - unfortunately - somewhere along the way, lost the love for videogames. New or less new
not discriminate against anyone, relying on you to visit us but also to participate. Comment on the posts or send suggestions to the e-mail, we respond to all ![]()
Welcome to the Revolution!
